On the Winter Way

Mounted firm in the center of the still ice,
with a casual lean to the left,
i see you there,
throwing up a jaunty arm in greeting,
to all who are on the hither and thither.

Whether hunched inward,
closed against the insidious cold,
or with arms outstretched,
playful in the refreshed clear air,
you welcome each and every wanderer.

I like the new layout

and the poem. Good description of the two kinds of reactions to the cold.
